Gio Esteve is our Director of F&B and Operations since 2023.
He started in the culinary world at the age of 16 in France, his country of origin. At 19, he moved to Paris to work for the renowned French chef Christian Conticini at his restaurant La Table d'Anvers.
He comes from a farmer's family, so he grew up between the farm and the orchard. His grandparents and great-grandparents taught him the most traditional cooking techniques and transmitted to him the importance of fresh and quality products, which are values that he applies in his day-to-day work at Virens.
Gio landed in Barcelona to work in a renowned Michelin Star restaurant. Subsequently, he worked in the kitchens of Carles Abellán's Comerç 24 and at El Bulli, until he decided to make the leap abroad to work in the opening of the restaurant of the great chef Gordon Ramsay in Ireland.
